Sagar Public School organized OVER NIGHT CAMP on 28th & 29th October 2018 with the theme Health, Happiness and Harmony which was filled with Fun , Adventure thrill, excitement and simple pleasurable experiences of outdoor camping. The camp commenced with Lighting of the Lamp, Camp flag hoisting and morning Assembly. The Principal Pankaj Sharma welcomed the campers. This fun loaded camp was full of activities that aimed at self-management and direct learning, which also broke the monotony of the structured schedule of students. The Fully Loaded Over Night Camp consisted of a sequence of adventure activities like Trekking, Circuit games and non- adventure activities like potter’s wheel, Mural Art, Talent Hunt, and various tasks throughout the day. The students presented various cultural activities after the Camp fire. The Chairman Shri Sudhir Kumar Agrawal motivated the campers during the camp fire. The show’s highlight was an Instrumental performance using unusual instruments by class 9 students followed by Star Gazing organized by the team of Aryabhatta Foundation. Three big astronomical telescopes were installed and students saw the planets Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. They also saw the star Lyra. Students of class 5 enjoyed the Nocturnal Hunt.
The second Day began with Morning assembly, Zumba and Meditation. The camp exposed campers to variety of engaging and exciting activities like Jewelry making, Paper Quilling and Lantern making. Senior Campers distributed paper bags made by them at 10 no. market. The Campers enjoyed swirling in the rain Dance. A rendezvous with R J Bani was the highlight of the day. Senior Campers also performed a Street play, Kavi sammelan and Product Advertising.
Staying away from home gave the students a sense of independence. They faced variety of challenges, shared responsibilities, worked with other students and learnt to manage themselves. The overnight camp was packed with delicious healthy meals. It was an ultimate camping experience in the school premises, they learnt about nature, life skills and values. The camp was executed under the School supervisors who looked after the safety at all times.
The overnight camp along with thrilling adventure activities also had recreational activities. The camp ended with a closing ceremony with Prize distribution and the student’s team handed over the flag to the Principal Pankaj Sharma. Finally, the two days were indeed well spent with lots of learning, fun and frolic with the unbeatable gala experience of staying with friends and teachers which added memories to cherish for throughout their life.
The campers left looking forward to the camping experience in the coming year with lots of learning, fun and frolic with the unbeatable gala experience of staying with friends and teachers.
These activities helped to strengthen teamwork and personal accomplishment.
The students were full of zeal and enthusiasm during the camp. They energetically completed the activities and no task was left undone. The students were too excited for zorbing and rope ladder climbing. The little ones managed to cross the Burma bridge quite confidently. Throughout the day the students actively indulged in various activities and wished the day didn’t end.
Finally, the day was indeed well spent and campers added memories to cherish for throughout their life.
