Yoga’s intrinsic ability to cease the mental chatter and live in the moment trims stress and apprehensiveness. It also exhibits profound benefits in every sphere of life. Students are very stressed individuals. They are keen to outperform themselves and prove their worth in the ever-changing competitive world. Yoga avails students to deal with their stress and bring back some tranquillity of mind. Those who customarily practice yoga reports lower calibers of stress and anxiety. Subsequently, they are also able to amend their academic performances.

Being a staunch believer in the adage, "sound mind in a sound body" Sagar Public School has turned to yoga as an effective means of instilling a strong sense of fitness among its students. SPS has evolved a criterion wherein the school children will have to compulsorily take classes in yoga basics. Yoga is also included in the curriculum. There are two yoga rooms in the school which are spacious, airy, and well-lighted. The Yoga teachers are highly-trained and experienced professionals who have the drive and dedication necessary to inspire the students. The yogic postures invigorate the body and keep the mind healthy and calm bringing a feeling of refreshment. It generates positive emotions and teaches children to be gentle.
