Sagar Public School hosted its grand Annual Function 2024, themed “Pillars of Progression,” showcasing the essential pillars of a developed society: the power of people, leadership, happiness, inclusiveness, sustainability, and fitness for the mind, body, and soul, on October 19, 2024. The event began with the arrival of the esteemed chief guest, Prof. Vandana Saxena, followed by a grand salute by the school band. A traditional lamp-lighting ceremony marked the official inauguration of the event. Chairman Shri Sudhir Kumar Agrawal welcomed the chief guest by presenting her a sapling. The celebration featured an array of spectacular performances. The theme unfolded through captivating performances including Power of People was portrayed through a compelling dance drama showcasing unity and talent, Profound Vision was beautifully represented by a contemporary dance piece, Fitness – Body, Mind, and Soul highlighted the importance of well-being through an energetic performance, Inclusiveness was showcased in a Hindi play, emphasizing the value of togetherness in a progressive society, The Power of Leaders was explored in an English play, featuring inspiring figures like Sarafina, Gandhi Ji, Bill Gates, and Gautam Buddha. Principal Ms Pankaj Sharma presented the school annual report. A special musical segment featuring vocal and instrumental performances captivated the audience, while a lively folk dance provided a refreshing break from the theme-based performances. One of the highlights of the evening was the felicitation of meritorious Class X students, who were awarded cash scholarships for their remarkable achievements in the 2023-24 board exams. The event concluded on a high note with a mesmerizing classical dance portraying the ultimate pillar of progression- the Echoes of Bliss that comes from harmony and progression in society. It was an unforgettable evening of celebration, reflection, and unity, leaving the audience inspired. Vice Principal Dr Manavi Arora proposed a vote of thanks which was followed by the school anthem.
