Universe exists inside the mind as the flower exists inside the seed.” On November 04, 2023, Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar was graced by the presence of Dr. Abhishek Kumar Srivastava. He is Associate Professor of Physics at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, one of the leading astrophysicists, pursuing his research in understanding waves and transients in the Sun and similar stars. He is associated with India’s first solar space mission, Aditya-L1. He interacted with the students and teachers and enlightened the audience with the importance of schooling. Some key take aways from the session are as follows: • In IIT, a good learner and a rote learner can easily be identified • Students’ fundamentals should be strong to perform well in IIT. • Original thinkers are promoted. • Astrophysics is an emerging branch now and India is excelling in it. • He talked about space debris, black hole, space plasma.
